About

It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent. It is the one most adaptable to change.

My Vision

About Made in Thought

Four valves, one heart
Two hemispheres, one brain
Yet in fragments we reflect, and in conflict we remain.

When you look in a mirror, you see more than just a physical reflection staring back at you. You witness the reflections of your knowledge and memories, narrated by your thoughts.

In a world where physical endurance regularly defines strength, there exists an often unseen or overlooked but powerful form of strength – the ability to heal.

We all face battles that few can see or truly grasp. It takes immense courage to acknowledge our inner struggles and recognize that seeking support is not a weakness but a testament to our resilience – a quality often intertwined with vulnerability and consequently misunderstood.

Life is a dynamic journey filled with changes and challenges, and my focus lies in the movement of change and adaptation. I believe in embracing the power of movement, free from scripts or predetermined approaches that attempt to fit you into a particular mold or ‘cookie-cutter’. There are no scripts; your life is not a theatrical play or an audition for a new role. Instead, we will work collaboratively to support you in recognizing, realizing, and understanding your struggles and strengths. By tapping into your insights, you can ignite your natural drive and inspiration, fueling the quality of movement that is healthy change and adaptation. Inspiration is the aftertaste of insight, the echo of your eureka moment, and the organic, natural movement of you that cannot be scripted, manipulated, or molded towards genuine healthy change.

Made in Thought Counselling Services is a personal and professional endeavor, born out of insight, driven by inspiration, shaped by experience, and made for you to challenge the notion that you’re confined within the bubble of your personality or solely defined by your experiences. While experiences can shape us, they do not have to bind us.

In the ebb and flow of life, it’s natural for us to be affected by its currents. After all, we are only human, inherently fallible and vulnerable to life’s challenges. My intention is not to erase your inner wounds or scars but to acknowledge and work with them; when I say “them,” I refer to you, as scars do not exist independently from those who bear them.

To engage with Made in Thought is to engage yourself, where there is no beginning, only the space to shape your journey and uncover what seems lost within.

As the field of psychology continues to evolve, I too continuously refine my understanding to better connect with and support my clients. In this continual spirit of movement, growth, and refinement, Made in Thought Counselling Services is dedicated to increasing the freedom and ease of access to mental health care anywhere in Alberta, Canada, where individuals who are 18 years of age and older can feel safe, heard, and connected.

To those who may be experiencing doubt and/or dread when considering seeking support, I encourage you to take a moment to acknowledge and honor your reactions, your survival coping strategies – the strategies that have carried you this far. While Made in Thought cannot make promises or guarantee any specific outcomes, behind every doubt lies a chance for growth, and behind every dreaded fear lies the drive to protect, which, at its most basic, reflects the underlying fabric of our nature.

Tudor Caliman

As a Registered Psychologist, a Certified Canadian Counsellor, and the founder of Made in Thought Counselling Services, I strive to provide a safe, empathetic, and connected space for those who are facing the hardships of bereavement, grief, loss, and anxiety. With a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, I bring a wealth of knowledge and insights to my clients. My focus lies in working closely with individuals navigating through some of life’s most challenging experiences, including pregnancy and infant loss, chronic illness, life transitions, and symptoms of anxiety. I am deeply aware of the profound impact these difficulties can have on individuals’ lives, and my commitment is to provide guidance and compassionate support that empowers my clients to explore their needs and activate healing.

Whether clients connect with Made in Thought for preventive care, to check-in with their mental fitness, or to navigate through past and/or current difficulties, I use evidence-based interventions to collaboratively work with and meet them where they are – not where they should be – to empower resilience in the face of adversity.

Throughout my career, I have been committed to advancing mental health awareness and support by providing countless therapy sessions, facilitating numerous workshops and trainings, and delivering an assortment of presentations on mental health. My experience extends beyond clinical work, as I have also participated in committees to develop mental health workshops that are now taught and facilitated throughout Alberta by various reputable establishments.

No Disillusionment

I have no disillusionment that, despite my professional background, training, and experience, I am imperfect, which aptly fits with our nature.

Acknowledging the vulnerability of imperfection can give rise to humility, compassion, and opportunities for learning and growth. Using these ingredients, and not ‘snake oil,’ spurs mental health. Integrating fragments of heartfelt experiences on the plain of connection can activate healthy change.

While so much of the therapy process depends on a combination of factors, including your participation and various healing modalities, I cannot guarantee that Made in Thought Counselling Services will transform your quality of life. There are no dangled carrots, and no such promises can be made. If you decide to invest your time and resources in Made in Thought, the key person you will consistently check-in with is yourself. I will meet you in that place and will draw on my training, experience, and knowledge to walk alongside you to support and cultivate your well-being.
